Tesla to allow app mirroring on centre console

“As we have sort of thought about it more, the logic thing to do from an app standpoint is to maybe allow apps on your iPhone or Android to project onto the center display, as opposed to trying to create a new app ecosystem.”

It makes perfect sense for Tesla to start doing this. It’s one disadvantage:  no direct access to in car data for the apps to use. A possible solution for this being information provided over a bluetooth connection to the car? We’ll have to wait and see.
