LG announce 2017 UHD LCD TV lineup ahead of CES

LG 2017 TV

Employing the most advanced color-enhancing LCD panel technology to date, LG Electronics’ SUPER UHD TVs (models SJ9500, SJ8500 and SJ8000) featuring Nano Cell technology are expected to take LCD TV viewing to a whole new level at CES 2017 opening this week in Las Vegas.

LG’s new “Nano Cell” tech is designed to improve not only colour reproduction on an LCD TV but also viewing angle with an incredible 60 degrees available with no colour deterioration.

The new sets are also of course HDR compatible but not only do they support the current industry standard of HDR-10 they go even further incorporating the newly developed Hybrid Log Gamma HDR from the BBC & Japan’s NHK as well as a relatively unknown upcoming version from Hollywood’s Technicolor.

Don’t expect to see these hitting Australian shores until the middle of the year, if not later, but they do look pretty impressive on paper and I’m eager to check them out on the show floor here in Vegas.
