Google is dropping the dessert nomenclature with the release of Android 10.
It’s official, Android has lost its whimsy.
All the signs were there. Android 9 Pie was the first to be released with both a number and dessert in its name with the transition process coming to an end with today’s announcement.
Perhaps the changed has been purposely timed with the letter Q? It’s a tough one to find anything interesting and tasty to name it after right? Android Quince just doesn’t do it for me.
Regardless the world’s most installed smart phone operating system just got a little less “fun”. Or maybe you’re of the opinion it’s “grown up” instead?
