Ford announce Tesla Model 3 competitor: Mach-E

[Sadly] as expected, it won’t be calling Australia home.

Landing in the US in 2021 the new all electric Ford Mustang Mach-E (wow that’s a mouthful) will be available with either a standard 75.7kWh or extended 98.8kWh battery.

Starting at US$43, 895 the “Select” model of Mach-E will deliver approximately 340km in range and is capable of going 0-100km/h in 5.5s.

At the other extreme, a GT version (more comparable in price to a base Tesla Model S) starts at US$60,500. It’s motor has an output of 342kW with a range of 375km and a 0-100 or just 3.5s.
