Twitter will now allow you to submit your case to get a Verified Account

We approve account types maintained by users in music, acting, fashion, government, politics, religion, journalism, media, sports, business, and other key interest areas. If you believe your account is of public interest and should be verified…

Don’t be fooled into thinking this is open to everyone out there with a Twitter account. They make it very clear you’re going to have to jump through some serious hoops and prove yourself worthy of that blue-tick.

I’m going to give it a shot. Worse case I get shut down and I can’t re-apply for 30 days. Not holding my breath but an interesting move from Twitter who’ve apparently gotten sick of looking for people and want the people to come to them.
