The YotaPhone is back baby

The third YotaPhone featuring an E Ink back should be available later this year from $350 for the entry-level 64GB model.

YotaPhone 3 will reportedly launch this year with a friendlier price. The 64GB model will cost US$350, while the 128GB model will cost US$450…

I loved the YotaPhone concept. It’s e-ink rear display provides a dashboard of information without compromising battery life. Its original, dubbed the “Russian iPhone”, and it’s sequel both suffered from sticker-shock in the market and never proved to be big sellers.

The new YotaPhone 3 is now a mostly Chinese run enterprise and has a heavily reduced price point. The new version will also include a5.5″ 1080p AMOLED display, fingerprint sensor (on the front), 4GB RAM, dual SIM slots, a 12-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel front camera, a 3,200mAh battery and USB-C port but no 3.5 mm headphone jack.

I doubt we’ll see an Australian launch but I’d be very interested to get a my hands on one of these and check it out.

Would you YotaPhone?
