As well as WWDC, E3 was also yesterday (what a week!). Take two minutes to watch this video from Sony’s E3 presentation about their stance on not imposing new restrictions or online checks for games. The crowd goes wild. I’ve never heard a crowd reaction like that at an E3.
The Playstation 4 is no bed of roses either; they’ve abolished their free tier of online play, the Australian PS4 price (at $549) is a little higher than I would have liked, and since that presentation Jack Tretton has walked back a little on his grand sweeping statements about restrictions.
But right now, compared to the hole the Xbox One dug for itself, they still look pretty good.
