Spotify Analytics for Musicians

Paul Smith of the Fin:

In response to criticism from the likes of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke – who described Spotify as “the last desperate fart of a dying corpse,” Spotify has unveiled a new online tool, which works in a similar way to Google Analytics for websites, allowing artists to view how many people are listening to their songs.

A nice little tool for musicians using Spotify.

Paul’s post also reveals the tracks most streamed in Australia in 2013:

1. Get Lucky – Daft Punk

2. Can’t Hold Us Down – Macklemore and Ryan Lewis

3. Royals – Lorde

4. Let Her Go – Passenger

5. Radioactive – Imagine Dragon

6. Wake Me Up – Avicii

7. Blurred Lines – Robin Thicke

8. Thrift Shop feat. Wanz – Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

9. Holdin’ On – Flume

10. Pompeii – Bastille
