Sony’s PlayStation 4 VR headset: Project Morpheus

Ben Kuchera at Polygon:

The post-Oculus world has a minimum level of quality for virtual reality that new products have to at least match, if not clear, and Sony’s push into console-based virtual reality could poison the well for other companies if their high-profile hardware isn’t up to the task.

Man, there was about one week there where Titanfall & the availability of local servers had me thinking, “Yep, Xbox One is the ticket.”

Then I watched the accompanying video where Ben dives into a medieval demo, hacks off a dummy’s arm with a sword in virtual reality, and then beats him with it. Now I have no idea what to do, because THAT’S FREAKING AWESOME.
