Evolving from its predecessor, the RX100 II, the RX100 III is most notably characterized by its incorporation of an electronic viewfinder, faster lens, and enhanced video-recording capabilities.
If you like little pocket cameras, the Sony RX100 series is right up your alley. They’ve announced a 3rd model in the series, the RX-100 III. I had the original RX-100 and loved it. The new one has the same sensor as the last one, but a much improved imaging engine, a shorter but faster (f/2.8 the entire way) lens, enhanced video capability (1080p and higher bitrate), a flip up screen and wi-fi, so you can sync it to your phone and Instagram your cool photos. I’ll be buying one to take with me overseas next I reckon. It’s not cheap – US$798, but if you want a classy camera to put your pocket, it’s by far the best. When there’s an in-depth review around, I’ll post a few links here.
