Palmer Luckey was probably asked to leave Facebook

Facebook’s statement on Luckey’s departure:

“Palmer will be dearly missed. Palmer’s legacy extends far beyond Oculus. His inventive spirit helped kickstart the modern VR revolution and build an industry. We’re thankful for everything he did for Oculus and VR, and we wish him all the best.”

After the debacle that is the Zenimax lawsuit, no real job title at Facebook and the controversy surrounding the funding of Clinton trolls during the recent US elections he was on borrowed time.

Dude has US$2b in the bank though. That’s a decent amount of FU cash.
