Lock up your iPhone SEs and put away your Pixel 3As, there’s a new sherif in town.
OnePlus have always made some really good flagship phones, but the Nord marks the company’s first real attempt at cracking the ever-crowding midrange market.
It comes jam-packed with all of the things we love about OnePlus phones like their lightweight OxygenOS and high refresh rate AMOLED screens (90Hz) as well as including the latest 5G-ready brain via a Snapdragon 765G.
The Nord’s a bit of a camera power house too given its midrange moniker. On the back you’ll find a 48MP wide-angle & 119 degree 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2 MP macro camera and a 6 MP depth sensor. Whilst on the front are 32MP & 105 degree wide-angle 8MP cameras.
Sadly, as with all OnePlus phones, availability in Australia is a tricky thing. Not sold here directly the phone will need to be imported and whilst that’s certainly not impossible it does complicate things.
Available in Europe on August 4th the OnePlus Nord is available in both blue and grey. A base model comes configured with 8GB of RAM & 256GB of storage for €399 (~A$645)with a 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage version for €499 (~A$808).
