Microsoft announces the new Surface Book 2

Microsoft isn’t holding back any punches with the launch of their new Surface Book 2 today. The new hybrid laptop is being advertised as “more powerful than a MacBook Pro” with 70% more battery life and a higher screen resolution than a comparable MBP 13″.

The Surface Book’s new found power comes in the form of Intel’s latest 8th-gen CPUs however a last gen Kaby Lake processor is available in the base level 13.5″ version.

Available for pre-order from November 9th the Surface Book 2 ranges in price beginning at A$2,199 for a 13.5″ last gen i5 CPU with 256GB SSD and 8GB RAM with integrated graphics up to A$4,499 for an 8th gen i7 CPU, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX.
