The upcoming USB cable design is reversible, has no right-side-up or upside-down problems, and will click when you plug it in. Expect the new design on the market as soon as this year.

Looks excellent. I wasn’t aware of the clicking thing either; that’s a nice solution to those weirdly-shaped USB drives that sometimes don’t completely plug in all the way.

No doubt with the ubiquity of USB ports in current devices it’s going to a long, slow transition, but I can’t wait. Now, I wonder when the MacBook Pro is going to get one…
