Lightning Strikes: iPhone 5c 8GB Incoming, iPad 4 Set to Return

Matt Brian at Engadget:

According to leaked documents from O2 Germany, Cupertino is looking to boost its middle child [iPhone 5c] by launching an 8GB version that’ll retail for 60 euros less than the current 16GB model. What does this spell for the “bottom tier” iPhone 4S, which is currently offered to customers for free on two-year deals? We couldn’t possibly speculate, but if this trimmed-down hardware is appearing in Germany, it’s probably going to launch everywhere else in the world, too.

This correlates with what I have been hearing too. Add to that that the iPad 4 is set to replace the iPad 2 and the only product left in the entire device lineup with the venerable 30-pin connector after March 2014? The iPod Classic.
