Sarah Perez at TechCrunch:
Can your mobile phone become a replacement for manually typing in a password? That’s the promise of a new application called Knock, launching today, which uses an iPhone paired with a Mac desktop or laptop computer to log you in to your locked machine.
I can’t test this (my 2010 MacBook Pro has no Bluetooth LE, frowny face), but being able to unlock a Mac by knocking on your dormant phone through your jeans is a damn smart idea.
Also: Sandwich video.
Update: Friend of the site Raj Deut has given it a shot and reports the experience isn’t quite as seamless as you’d hope:

That’s kind of a bummer.
