iWork and iLife apps updated, go free too

Apple PR:

iWork and iLife for Mac come free with every new Mac purchase. Existing users running Mavericks can update their apps for free from the Mac App Store. iWork and iLife for iOS are available for free from the App Store for any new device running iOS 7, and are also available as free updates for existing users.

So from now on, iWork and iLife will be available for anyone who buys a new Mac or iOS device for free. The updates were across the board, new iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, Pages, Numbers and Keynote for both Mac and iOS. The new versions of these apps look really nice too.

My stand-out feature from the brief product demos? The ability to collaborate; they demoed two people working in the same Pages document at the same time. If that works across iOS devices too, that’s a huge leap forward for the education market.

Question: what non-pro software is Apple still charging for? That list is shrinking very rapidly.
