The Intel Extreme Masters CS:GO finals get underway in Sydney today, running through until Sunday the 6th at the Qudos Bank Arena. Filling the stands with more than 7,000 fans and streaming out to over 8 million this year’s event promises to be even bigger and better as the world’s best CS:GO teams descend upon Sydney.
Competing for a US$250k prize pool 16 teams have been in competition since Tuesday, now whittled down to 8 for the weekend’s finals series. The series is wide open with last year’s winners SK Gaming knocked out by locals Grayhound in a major upset during the qualifiers.
For Sydney siders, tickets are still available for the final day here. For everyone else you can watch the action live via IEM’s official stream.
