Moves to slap GST on overseas online shopping purchases worth less than AU$1000 will be on the agenda when Federal Treasurer Joe Hockey meets his state and territory counterparts this week.
This is still gonna be discussed, even though the previous government conducted a report finding that the cost of setting up the bureaucracy to collect the sub-$1000 import GST would actually negate the revenue earned. Once again, logic defies these people.
