DOTA 2 Prize Pool For The International Tournament Exceeds $10 Million, Will Include Newcomer’s Broadcast

Owen S. Good at Polygon:

Dota 2’s world championship, The International, kicks off in two weeks in Seattle and Valve will be offering a “Newcomer’s Broadcast” stream to explain the game to those who may not understand it, but understand that a $10 million prize pool means the tournament is a pretty big deal.

Smart idea; I’m a casual player of DOTA 2, so I’ll be very keen to watch the rookie feed. Also, for those keeping score, the prize pool for this tournament is now higher than Wimbledon. Crazy.
