Brisbane’s MacArthur Chambers Apple Store Set to Open January 17

After few weeks of teaser signs in the city, Apple has finally revealed opening dates and times for the long-awaited MacArthur Chambers Apple Store in Brisbane’s CBD. The store will be offically opening its doors at 10AM on January 17th.

I can’t wait to see how the interior of the store has turned out. After the initial lodgement was spotted back in 2011, what followed was years of delays and drama in construction, with the bankruptcy of the major contractor stalling the project.

At one point, it appeared likely Apple was going to walk away from the project entirely, but after a court order to complete the renovations the project was rebooted in mid-2013.

It’s a beautiful, classic heritage site with a lot of fascinating history stemming from World War 2. I have no doubt it’ll be one of the nicest Apple stores in Australia.
