Asus’ ZenBook 3 takes direct aim at Apple’s MacBook

Apple set the bar last year when it when it debuted the 12″ MacBook with Retina display and now Asus aims to take away their title with the ZenBook 3. The svelte laptop comes is just as thin and light as the MacBook, but manages to pack the kind of performance many were hoping for in the 12’s recent revision.

Computex is on and Asus are using it as a platform to announce a slew of new products. Of most interest is the new ZenBook 3, which despite having only a 1080p display does indeed, on the surface, appear to beat out Apple’s MacBook in many ways.

If it weren’t for its (in my opinion) hideous exterior I’d seriously consider grabbing one over a Surface Book Pro or MacBook.

Of course AnandTech have the detailed run-down.
