Apple Music wont count towards your Telstra data cap from August 23rd

From 23 August, Telstra will include a free three-month subscription to three streaming video providers – Netflix, Stan and Presto – on selected mobile plans.

Additionally, from the same date, all the company’s mobile plan customers will be able to stream audio from the Apple Music service without tapping into their data allowance and will receive a free six-month Apple Music subscription.

I could care less about a free 3 month trial with any video streaming provider. You can pretty much fall over a voucher for that walking down the street.

What I do care about is streaming music not counting towards my data cap. I would honestly consider moving back to Apple Music for that or porting my number to the first one to support Google Music.
