Apple Debuts Second-Generation iPad Mini with Retina Display

Juli Clover at MacRumors:

As part of its iPad lineup update announced today, Apple introduced the second-generation iPad mini, which as expected is equipped with a 7.9-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2048×1536, matching the resolution of the full-sized Retina iPad.

Smaller, but with the same great screen as the full-sized iPad. After using the original iPad mini for a number of months, this is the iPad I’ve been waiting for. It starts at AUD$479 for a 16GB with Wi-fi, and is also available in Space Grey or Silver. It’s coming to Australia at an as-yet unspecified date in November.

Also nice; you can now also get the iPad mini in a 128GB configuration too.
