Apple PR:
Apple today updated MacBook Air with faster processors and lower prices, making the perfect everyday notebook an even better value.
Specs-wise, not a lot changed. The Core i5/i7 processor got a small bump from 1.3GHz to 1.4GHz. The battery life is now rated slightly better for both models: 11-inch model was upgraded from 8 hours to 9, and the 13-inch model from 10 hours to 12. Otherwise, it’s the same ol’ MacBook Air.
Unfortunately for us, Apple Australia’s prices are unchanged — we didn’t see the $100 price cut like other regions. It’s a bummer, but consistent with what we’ve been seeing across Apple’s pricing adjustments in 2014.
