The ABC has finally gotten around to updating its iView app for Smart TVs to bring it into alignment with the Apple TV & Android TV versions.The updated app is available today on Tizen powered Samsung TVs made in 2016 or later as well as 2017+ Hisense and LG’s running WebOS 1.0+.
Still to come are updated versions for the PlayStation 4 & Xbox One.
The update allows users to sign in with their ABC Account, which then syncs their experience and preferences across multiple devices.
Sadly none of this means an update to the ABC’s continually poor streaming quality with most content capped at 720p and live content at just 576p.
