OK so I’m no germaphobe but phones are gross.

They harbour 18 times the amount of germs and bacteria you find on a public toilet, so god help you if you bite your nails after tapping away. Ewww.

PhoneSoap offers a unique solution that uses no heat or chemicals and instead bathes your phone in a special UVC light which kills 99.99% of all germs.

It’s an interesting little product but hardly a cheap one either. A$145 will give you that almost germ-free guarantee but is it worth it? I guess it depends how freaked out you are by how gross your phone is to touch.

I wonder what’s worse, your phone or the handrail on a public train during Melbourne’s winter?
