Starting Dec 17, adult content will not be allowed on Tumblr.<\/p>\n
Adult content primarily includes photos, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples, and any content\u2014including photos, videos, GIFs and illustrations\u2014that depicts sex acts.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
We all know Tumblr was a gigantic porn stash. Community driven or not the service served as an illicit repository for consumers and producers alike.<\/p>\n
Tumblr has take a series of actions over recent years to tackle the issue but all has come to a head when Apple banned tumblr from the app store over a child pornography incident<\/a>.<\/p>\n
Now with a large portion of its user-base alienated, the micro-blogging darling of the early Web 2.0 days will either sink or swim under its new overlords Verizon.<\/p>\n
