Spectacles capture your world the way you see it. Just press, then play.

Well here’s something I didn’t expect to happen.

The new “Spectacles” launched by Snap Inc today forgo their predecessor’s unusual hype-train distribution method and are available to everyone (kinda), today, via their online store.

Arriving in a new, rugged case that doubles as a charger for the video recording glasses they’re also now thinner, waterproof & have a vastly improved WiFi connection.

What remains the same, or gets worse even, is the horrid process to establish a connection to the glasses and a new, more expensive price tag of US$149.99.

The new Spectacles are available to order & ship via their online store in the US, Canada, UK & France today. Come May 3rd they’ll further push into Europe however Australia is not on their release roadmap at this stage.
