Uber has added heaps of new drivers in Brisbane since their launch a few months ago. Now they’re starting to put the price squeeze on the incumbent taxi companies.<\/p>\n
Their base fare is now $2.50 (down from $3.20), their per km charge is $1.30 (down from $1.60), per min is now $0.40 (down from $0.50) and minimum fare is now $6 (down from $8).<\/p>\n
Just in time too \u2014 regular taxis in Brisbane are stupidly expensive.
