The store will be offically opening its doors at 10AM on January 17th.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t wait to see how the interior of the store has turned out. After the initial lodgement was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mactalk.com.au\/content\/apple-store-macarthur-chambers-brisbane-1547\/\">spotted back in 2011<\/a>, what followed was years of delays and drama in construction, with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theregister.co.uk\/2012\/02\/16\/kellandrigby_stiff_apple\/\">bankruptcy of the major contractor<\/a> stalling the project.<\/p>\n<p>At one point, it appeared likely Apple was going to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ifoapplestore.com\/2012\/11\/22\/apple-abandons-australia-store-project\/\">walk away from the project entirely<\/a>, but after a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ifoapplestore.com\/2013\/04\/11\/court-orders-apple-to-finish-retail-space\/\">court order to complete the renovations<\/a> the project <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ifoapplestore.com\/2013\/08\/30\/australia-store-gets-real-with-blueprints-again\/\">was rebooted in mid-2013<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.reckoner.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/27133613\/450px-MacArthur_Central_Brisbane.jpg\" alt=\"450px-MacArthur_Central,_Brisbane\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" class=\"alignnone center size-full wp-image-2145\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.reckoner.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/27133613\/450px-MacArthur_Central_Brisbane.jpg 450w, https:\/\/media.reckoner.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/27133613\/450px-MacArthur_Central_Brisbane-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/media.reckoner.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/27133613\/450px-MacArthur_Central_Brisbane-380x507.jpg 380w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"footnote\">Image: <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/File:MacArthur_Central,_Brisbane.JPG\" target=\"_blank\">Wikipedia<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a beautiful, classic heritage site with a lot of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/dimensions\/dimensions_in_time\/Transcripts\/s491019.htm\">fascinating history stemming from World War 2<\/a>.
