Nvidia’s GeForce NOW streaming service is finally launching in Australia courtesy of a local collaboration with Perth based ISP, Pentanet.

Launching October 19th, the highly applauded streaming service allows gamers to enjoy their owned titles literally anywhere, with clients available for Mac, PC, Shield TV, Android, iPhone and iPad.

Connecting with game stores like Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect & GOG.COM the service allows more than 1,000 titles to be streamed by users using the most cutting edge PC hardware available. Key features of Nvidia’s heavily sought after RTX GPUs are available via NOW out of the box with ray-tracing enabled on supported titles to stream.

The offering will also include a number of free-to-play titles, with almost 100 available with the Australian service when it launches next week.

At launch the local offering will include both a free and paid offering.

The free or “Basic” package will be limited to a maximum of 1 hour of continuous play and will not include the ability to enable RTX on supported titles.

A paid version, called “Priority“, gives gamers the ability to play for up to 4 hours in a session, enables RTX and, should there be a queue, provides them with priority access to the title they wish to play.

The Priority plan will be available for either a A$19.95/m charge or if paid annually a lower A$17.99/m = A$215.88/yr at launch. Pentanet are calling this “Founders Priority pricing”, available to those that sign-up early on over at cloud.gg.

It’s definitely a premium price. Compared to Microsoft’s A$15.95/m PC & Console Game Pass, which now also includes a streaming service in Australia, the service will truly need to shine. Microsoft having an added advantage that all its big hitter first-party titles are included.
