Doubling down on the foldable future Huawei have announced their 2nd-generation foldable, the Huawei Mate X2.

Building on the company’s impressive first attempt the X2 hits all the right notes when it comes to modern day smartphone specs. Powered by a Kirin 9000 processor it’s also a 5G phone with WiFi6, 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. and a 4,500mAh battery.

The phone now comes with two 90Hz OLED displays. The large foldable one on its interior transforms into a full 8″ 2480 x 2200 display, with another on its face weighing in at 6.45″ with a 2700 x 1160 resolution.

Naturally the thing weighs the equivalent of a smartphone tonne, tapping out at just under 300 grams. This is largely due to it needing a 4,500mAh battery a seemingly impressive hinge and what’s effectively three screens to boot.
