Like a scorned teenager Intel have launched a scathing media ad campaign highlighting the lacking capabilities of Apple&#8217;s new M1 Macs.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Only a PC offers tablet mode, touch screen and stylus capabilities in a single device. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/GoPC?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#GoPC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Intel (@intel) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intel\/status\/1356633480776531968?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 2, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The campaign tugs on the usual Windows heart-strings that those of you old enough to remember, were very similar to excuses and attacks before the iMac existed and Apple made the switch to Intel CPUs.<\/p>\n<p>One of the campaigns targets gamers stating <em>&#8220;If you can launch Rocket League, you&#8217;re on a Mac&#8221;<\/em> for example. News alert buddy, there aren&#8217;t too many people out there buying Macs for their gaming chops, let me tell you.<\/p>\n<p>The move does remove Bootcamp abilities, which will directly affect some and could further hamper those in the &#8220;Hackintosh&#8221; community, but both are two areas far from Apple&#8217;s focus.<\/p>\n<p>Apple aim to complete their switch to custom silicon across the entire product lineup by 2022.
