{"id":10432,"date":"2020-07-30T11:12:25","date_gmt":"2020-07-30T01:12:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reckoner.com.au\/?p=10432"},"modified":"2020-07-30T11:12:25","modified_gmt":"2020-07-30T01:12:25","slug":"samsung-looks-to-ditch-bixby-in-favour-of-google-assistant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reckoner.com.au\/news\/samsung-looks-to-ditch-bixby-in-favour-of-google-assistant\/","title":{"rendered":"Samsung looks to ditch Bixby in favour of Google Assistant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A report on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2020-07-29\/google-in-talks-to-take-over-more-search-tasks-on-samsung-phones\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bloomberg<\/a> today reveals that Samsung is in negotiations with Google to elevate the company&#8217;s voice and app store offerings on Samsung devices.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>While details of the deal are unknown it&#8217;s would follow similar large scale defaulting on other devices, such as Safari&#8217;s default search engine on Apple&#8217;s iPhones.
