Reckoner had its humble beginnings way back in June of 2013. Founded by James Croft, along with Peter Wells and Anthony Agius they created what would go on to become one of Australia’s most highly regarded and award winning independent tech blogs.

With its uniquely Australian voice Reckoner is committed to offering a “no-holds-barred” approach to its writing. Beholden to no one but its audience, Reckoner’s goal is to be completely transparent and build trust with its readership.

In addition to its written work the Reckoner podcast has been a long standing and prominent tech podcast with a devoted Australian listenership. Released consistently since the website’s inception the podcast has gone on to be a force of its own inviting well known guests from both Australian and international tech journalists and developers.

Today Reckoner continues with those very same goals and traditions. Its staff has changed slightly, Peter Wells, through his writing and talents is now a regular contributor to the Sydney Morning Herald and Fairfax outlets. Anthony Agius, still a regular on the podcast, now runs the exciting daily tech newsletter “The Sizzle” and James Croft, well he likes to bake a lot of bread!
