Your Onkyo/Pioneer receiver is now a virtual Sonos speaker

Thanks to a firmware update coming to a plethora of receivers from Onkyo and its brands — Integra, Pioneer, and Pioneer Elite — they will all work with the Sonos app.

Loving this. Finally I can have a full non-Sonos home theatre setup powered by a dedicated receiver and have it seamlessly integrate into my Sonos ecosystem.

Yes there are ways around it already but they involve buying an expensive Sonos accessory and add another fail point in a chain of devices.
