Twitter accidentally shared your private data with its advertising partners

Twitter said it recently found and fixed an issue on its advertising platform that resulted in the company sharing some user data with advertising partners without the users’ express consent.

Oh Twitter. The internet’s favourite cesspool digs another hole deeper for itself.

To make matters worse the company also admitted to ignoring its own app’s preferences and delivering targeted advertising despite a user opting out of it.

Nice work there folks.
