With the annual Game Developers Conference in full swing, I’m pleased to give you an exciting update on PlayStation VR. Today, we are announcing that the PlayStation VR headset will launch in October of this year for a suggested retail price of USD $399 / CAD $549.
Included with the announcement was the image above showing the contents of the PlayStation VR package. Interestingly it doesn’t include Move controllers which have been made use of in nearly every PSVR demo I’ve played.

Shortly after the announcement PlayStation Australia confirmed its release here in October and more importantly that its price would be only 95 cents more expensive than the Canadian – $549.95. This is by far the cheapest VR experience and potentially the one to have the biggest impact at that price point.
