DJI’s new A$859 Spark drone is the smallest and best yet

Meet Spark, a mini drone that features all of DJI’s signature technologies, allowing you to seize the moment whenever you feel inspired. With intelligent flight control options, a mechanical gimbal, and a camera with incredible image quality, Spark empowers you to push your creative boundaries.

This thing is teeny mother-effin-tiny. Sacrifices a 4K camera to only offer 1080p and you lose 1 axis of camera movement but hey it’s a drone that can rotate and fill in that gap anyway. The drone also comes controller free, relying on the DJI app and virtual on-screen sticks to control it over Wi-Fi however a remote can be purchased separately to extend range and provide tactile input.

The new Spark also has the ability to be controlled via gestures for take off, landing, pre-programmed routes (circular, rocket, follow, etc) and is the new standard amongst the drone-consumer selfie market.

Pre-order now, with shipments beginning June 15th. Full disclosure, I bought one! Squeeeeeeeeeeeal!
