Designed for those who defy limits and change the world, the new MacBook Pro is by far the most powerful notebook we’ve ever made.
Apple have unveiled a new 16″ MacBook Pro overnight, replacing the 15″ version entirely in their popular laptop lineup.
The new 16″ display is not only larger in size but has a higher 226ppi pixel density with a resolution of 3072 x 1920. The largest mobile Retina Display yet it’s also brighter at 500 nits and has a P3 wide colour gamut, which will mean a lot to the right people. (ie. Not me)
Available immediately the new version retains similar physical dimensions as its predecessor. In addition to the larger screen real-estate the new model brings updated Intel Coffee Lake processors, a new sound system, redesigned keyboard switch (yes again), larger 100Wh battery and improved GPUs.
There are two standard configurations available from Apple different mostly in their choice of CPU & GPU options.
The Core i7 2.6GHz (6-core), AMD Radeon Pro 5300M 4GB starts at A$3,799 and also includes a 512GB SSD & 16GB DDR4 RAM.
A more expensive Core i9 2.3GHz (8-core) with AMD 5500M 4GB GPU, 1TB SSD & 16GB DDR4 model is available starting at A$4,399.
Both are available immediately for purchase and are shipping within the next 3-5 days.
