A 1980’s View of IT in Health

Via the Wellcome Library YouTube Channel:

One of a series of twelve programmes explaining the uses of informational technology to different aspects of everyday life. This episode focuses on IT in healthcare, and the benefits to doctors and patients are shown. Future developments and possibilities are also discussed.

It is so full of 80s technological optimism. Goes for 30 min, but is enjoyable for its quaintness and if you’re a retro PC lover, full of esoteric UK machines. The Wellcome Library has hundreds of videos on YouTube explaining the UK’s medical history – fascinating stuff.
