LIFX, the company behind the $99 Wi-Fi enabled, multi-color LED light bulbs, announced today that it raised $12M in Series A funding.
LIFX has partnered up with Sequoia Captial to raise the funding, which they’ll use to build their team and scale up. Sequoia partner Omar Hamoui has also joined their board, and they’re also opening new offices in California and the UK.
A great Aussie company making it big in the world of the connected home. They’ve got a great team (I know they’ve been recruiting some very talented folk from around the country), a great product, and I really think they’re just getting started.
