It caught me very much by surprise, as I had received no e-mails, and saw no big banners claiming the discontinuation of any plans. Further investigation at AldiMobile’s website confirmed that the $35 Plan and the 2Gb data pack was to be discontinued from 1st April 2014.
Aldi have also released a bunch of new, shittier plans and it looks like the AldiMobile good times are truly over. Why would you spend $30 on AldiMobile when you can spend $30 on Telstra proper and get 1.3GB of data (at LTE/DC-HSPA+ speeds!) versus only 1GB on Aldi for the same price?
