Apple updates the MacBook Pro with new CPUs & True Tone

Apple has today updated the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro with a spec bump refresh. The laptops feature Intel’s latest eighth-generation processors, with a six-core option on the 15-inch model.

In addition to simply chucking in the latest CPUs, the new models bring Apple’s True Tone displays to laptops for the first time.

They’ve also switched out LPDDR3 for DDR4, which means you can now spec your MBP out with 32GB of RAM however it will draws more power. To compensate the extra drain Apple have increased the battery capacity and ultimately wont affect its current battery life.

Lastly the new lineup is said to include a new, third generation version of the butterfly keyboard that’s been getting so much coverage lately.

The new MacBook Pros are available today and start from A$1,799 for the 13″ True Tone version and A$2,399 for the 15″.
